Meet your guide
Jared Newman here. I’m an independent tech journalist with more than 18 years of experience writing for sites like PCWorld, TechHive, Fast Company, New York Times Wirecutter, and Time.
I started Advisorator in 2018 after getting frustrated with how much tech coverage consists of boring business news, meaningless hype, and industry gossip. Advisorator is entirely focused on helping you understand and take command of technology, with full editorial independence and no hidden agendas.
Praise for Advisorator
“Technology is always changing and I feel like I’m always behind in understanding it. You have done a great job, Jared, in explaining and clarifying lots of confusing technology for me.”

“I really appreciate the personal aspect of your writing. It feels less like a magazine and more like a friend sharing insights.”

“Your knowledge has helped me tremendously. Do you know how many technical magazines or classes I would need to get your information? Whenever I have a question you always respond quickly to my email. I thank you very much!”
