After the shopping bacchanal of Black Friday, I think we could all use some ways to avoid spending more cash.

When it comes to software such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Photoshop, this is easier than you might think. For every popular program that costs money, chances are there’s a free alternative that’s nearly or equally as good. As a serious software cheapskate, I’m often seeking these out for my own purposes.
