It’s nice to be home after a whirlwind week in Las Vegas covering the CES trade show, but of course I’m still thinking about everything I saw there.

While CES isn’t the ultimate barometer of where tech is headed—Apple, for one thing, doesn’t attend—the sheer size of the show has a way of conveying what’s on the industry’s collective mind. Unlike a lot of other jaded tech journalists, I still love going.
