Streaming music savings

Welcome to Advisorator’s Tip of the Week, helping you learn something new from the tech world every Tuesday.

Looks like Spotify is trying to get its subscriber numbers up before the year winds down, as it’s currently offering three free months of Spotify Premium for new subscribers. Meanwhile, previous subscribers who cancelled before October 28 can get three months for $10 total. To sign up, head to Spotify’s Premium landing page and look for the offer at the top.

For those not married to Spotify, a better deal is available from Tidal, which offers three months for $1 total via Best Buy. This offer is valid both for new and returning subscribers, which I know because I’ve redeemed it several times before.

Note that these cheap Tidal subscriptions are managed through Best Buy rather than Tidal itself, and if you cancel immediately after signing up, you’ll still get the full three months without being auto-billed at the end. You can then sign up again the next time this deal becomes available. For those accustomed to getting Paramount+ for free, this is as close as it gets on the streaming music side.
