Over the weekend, my smart home underwent a regime change.

Instead of leaning primarily on Google Assistant, I’m now using Alexa to handle the bulk of my voice commands and device controls. Amazon’s voice assistant now lives in the kitchen, the living room, my office, and the master bedroom, where it’s taken charge of orchestrating wake-up and bedtime routines.
