Earlier this week, I installed three iPhone apps that aren’t supposed to exist.

The first was a modified version of Twitter with all ads removed, and the second was RetroArch, a popular way to emulate classic video games. After that, I installed an app for finding lost AirPods, which Apple banned in 2017 before releasing a similar feature exclusively for the AirPods Pro and Max.
