When you\u2019re considering which iPad to buy<\/a>, the iPad Mini is easy to overlook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple’s own iPad product page<\/a> lists it dead-last, and its small screen doesn\u2019t fit with the idea of iPads as laptop replacements. At one point, Apple even had a three-and-a-half-year gap between new iPad Mini models, giving the impression of a neglected product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But having recently purchased an iPad Mini for the first time in nearly a decade, I\u2019m back to thinking that it\u2019s Apple\u2019s best tablet. While it\u2019s less capable than its larger siblings\u2014as evidenced in my iPad Decision Flowchart<\/a> from last fall\u2014it\u2019s also the purest expression of what an iPad ought to be.<\/p>\n\n\n
