{"id":14272,"date":"2026-10-26T14:38:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-26T14:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/advisorator.com\/members\/2026\/10\/26\/bringing-back-the-advisorator-blog\/"},"modified":"2026-10-26T19:49:54","modified_gmt":"2026-10-26T19:49:54","slug":"bringing-back-the-advisorator-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/advisorator.com\/members\/2026\/10\/26\/bringing-back-the-advisorator-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"Bringing back the Advisorator blog"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The story thus far:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I tried spinning up a &#8220;Blog&#8221; section of Advisorator for stuff that doesn&#8217;t fit into the newsletter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then I decided I should just blog on my jarednewman.com domain instead.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inevitably I let the personal blogging fall by the wayside.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think what I&#8217;m going to do is let jarednewman.com operate as more of a portfolio\/bio site, and revive the Advisorator blog for posting. A few reasons why:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Posting about tech-related things (which is a lot of what I might want to post about) felt out of place on my personal site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I&#8217;ve realized it&#8217;s not really a bad thing to have off-topic stuff on the Advisorator site, as long as it&#8217;s out of the way of the usual tech coverage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maybe there&#8217;s a little extra motivation to post here if it leads folks to discover the <a href=\"https:\/\/advisorator.com\/\">newsletter<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m going to see how this goes, and maybe add a &#8220;Blog&#8221; heading to the nav bar if the habit sticks. Also: I&#8217;m writing and publishing this directly from Obsidian with a plugin, which I haven&#8217;t done in a while.
